Only those at the top benefit from GOP policy
October 17Editor, I am a Democrat. I stand for government help for the poor and disadvantaged. I do not get weekends off like some people do — I have to work seven days a week to offset the Bush years.

Editor, Listening Here I am listening,
Editor, The majority of the letters to yourself that are published are typically written by people who are angry, have a superiority complex, hate Republicans, hate presidential candidate Mitt Romney, love Obama, hate the University’s president, provost, regents, etc.,
Editor, I love the Frontier Restaurant and I have many fond memories eating there. But a recent incident has left me with a bad taste in my mouth — literally.
Editor, I’d like to respond to a few claims laid against me by the Daily Lobo, to which I was never given a chance to respond.
Editor, Let me just say that I am truly offended at the crass behavior of cars and other motorized vehicles.
Editor, Overheard at the Homecoming game Oct. 6: “I’m so glad the Lobos don’t suck anymore.” Aren’t we all?
Security on the U.S.-Mexico border is problematic, to put it lightly, and there have been continued federal efforts to try and secure the situation.
Dear Mr. Wernicke, While I agree with and understand your stance on shrinking the federal government and allowing the states to control more of the laws and regulations, I disagree with your statement that Republicans are for this and Democrats are not.
Editor, Regarding the letter by Allen Weh that appeared in the Sept. 27 issue of the Daily Lobo, the following correction to his use of Thomas Jefferson and the Barbary Pirates would assist in clearing up his use of the example to demonstrate decisive leadership.
Editor, I applaud the Daily Lobo’s focus on accessibility issues, evidenced by your front page article about the plan to increase automatic doors on campus.
Editor, Oct. 1: Walking in a hurry from Scholes Hall to the bookshop at a pretty good clip and loaded down, I was approached by a young man with a notebook who very courteously asked if I had a minute.
Editor, Reasons to distrust most Republicans:
I read the letter Thursday in which the author said he was surprised that no Republicans were writing about the party position to the Daily Lobo. I didn’t know why at first, but then I realized we are all busy working.
Editor, I strongly support the state constitutional amendment to require education and professional qualifications for the Public Regulation Commission.
Editor, The recent homecoming election has me thinking about the ASUNM elections, which are held later this fall.
