The dead took a walk through the South Valley on Sunday. Marching and riding in floats covered in colorful tissue-paper marigolds, people took to the streets dressed as the deceased as part of the Dia de los Muertos Marigold Parade and Celebration.

Editor, ASUNM exists to represent the concerns of the people that this University was built to serve - the students. Editor, I am writing to respond to James Burbank's letter in Friday's Daily Lobo. I am interested in knowing the source of his information about Justice For All. An article published in August on the Justice For All Web site appears to contradict some of the key points Burbank put forth.

"We're in a really unique spot here in the nation, because it's such a close race," he said. A mobile police command truck is helping Frontier Restaurant stay open 24 hours on the weekends by deterring drunks from starting trouble. Frontier closed its doors from 1:30 to 4 a.m. Friday through Sunday for the first time in 15 years two weekends ago. It stayed open last weekend because the substation was parked outside the restaurant on Cornell Drive from about 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.
When you go into that little cubicle Tuesday, lick the tip of your Bic pen, and hunker down in one of those yellow or orange plastic chairs to vote, you'll see that Democrats are listed first in every race on the ballot, no matter the precinct. Editor, I have no issue with the majority of Daniel Martinez's letter in Friday's Daily Lobo. He is free to disagree with the Iraq war and President Bush. It was the biggest game of the season, and the men's soccer team played perhaps its best game of the season. The No. 11 Lobos won the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation after downing No. 21 Denver 3-0 on Sunday at the UNM Soccer Complex in the final game of the regular season.
It may not have been the toughest competition it will face, but the UNM men's basketball team put on an offensive showcase Thursday at The Pit. In a 98-42 exhibition win over Western New Mexico, the Lobo defense didn't look too shabby, either.

Editor, Shame on you for publishing a picture labeled "Albino from the future" in Wednesday's Daily Lobo. Is being an albino supposed to be scary or something? You wouldn't publish a picture of someone suffering from cystic fibrosis or cancer, would you? Likewise, you wouldn't publish a picture of a Halloween costume titled "Asian from the future" or "American Indian from the future," would you? People are born with these characteristics.
Editor, I have just mailed a $20 check for a parking ticket due to unfair circumstances. On Oct. 19, I approached the Cornell Parking Structure to deposit my car so I could attend a geography lab. I was turned away, the attendant saying all the spaces had been rented out to a special event.
