Letter: Group leader's costume insensitive to minorities

Editor, I recently attended a meeting for a student club that will remain nameless, at which I was shocked and outraged to witness an act of racial discrimination unbefitting for any place, and especially the state in which we live. At this meeting we were planning a Halloween event for small children when one of the leaders of the organization decided to share with the rest of the group what she would be wearing as a costume.

Letter: Faculty leaves because funds go to administrators

Editor, Regarding the story in Monday's Daily Lobo on the flight of faculty from UNM, Provost Reed Dasenbrock stated that UNM cannot afford to pay upper-level faculty the six-figure salaries that other institutions can. Why, then, are we able to pay six-figure salaries to a growing number of administrators like himself? I guess these people are more important to the University than a top-notch physicist or historian.
