University to place second in the ProRehab Aces Soccer Classic in Evansville, Ind., this weekend. The Lobos placed behind tournament winners the University of Kansas (7-1-1) based on goal differential.

The Lobos (8-0-0) defeated Georgia State University and Southwest Missouri State University during the Lobo Invitational at the UNM Soccer Complex.

September 23Staff Report Chicano issues such as culture discourse, labor rights and the loss of ancestral lands are on exhibit through Nov. 1 at the Albuquerque Sunport. The exhibit, which is made up of three panels displaying photographs, literature, artifacts and historical documents, commemorates the work of several Chicano leaders as well as the role UNM's Chicano/a Studies program in establishing Chicano Studies as a legitimate academic field.

Having been a peer reviewer for the breast cancer research program of the Department of Defense, I have come to view these gatherings less as venues for significant scientific revelations and more as wasted opportunities to focus on what, beyond our genes, may be causing breast cancer.

LETTER: New SUB should include more vegetarians choices
September 20I am not the type of person that makes an issue out of being a vegetarian; I don't plan to do so here. I am, however, a little disappointed that there are not more choices for vegetarians on campus.
