Editor, I just heard about the sudden death of David Craven over the weekend. I don’t call him a “distinguished professor and nationally and internationally known and respected art history scholar, author and teacher.” I think of him as my friend David.

UNM: Professor David Craven is dead

Distinguished professor of art history Dr. David L. Craven, 60, died Monday from an apparent heart attack while playing tennis, the family said. Craven had been a professor at UNM since 1993 and was the fine arts department chair for two years.

UNM: stabbing suspect caught

On Friday morning the University sent out an alert warning the community that a female stabbing suspect was at large somewhere in the UNM main, north or south campus areas.

Stiff competition spurs record-breaking night

It was an evening of record breaking at Friday night’s track meet, especially for freshman sprinter Beejay Lee. Lee broke the school record for the 60-meter dash in the prelims with a time of 6.72 seconds.
