Reducing stress key to finals

As the new decade finds its beginning, the University of New Mexico is on its way to the end of its fall semester. Finals — coinciding with the holidays and the change in the weather — often leave people feeling stressed, exhausted and irritable. Coincidentally, all three of these things are detrimental to a healthy life balance and achieving the desired grades.

The music industry is no easy place to make it. With an immense variety of genres, record labels, a wider variety of audiences than ever before and streaming platforms, music is quite literally at our fingertips. The following is a list of four up and coming female musicians from diverse backgrounds whose work falls into several different genres.

UNMH neurosurgery residency program canceled

The University of New Mexico Hospital (UNMH) neurosurgical residency training program has been canceled due to a lack of mentorship for the residents, according to Dr. Paul Roth the Executive Vice President, Chancellor for UNM Health Sciences Residents are physicians who have finished medical school and are receiving training in a specialized area, such as neurosurgery. They practice medicine under the supervision of a senior physician registered in their specialty.  The UNMH accreditation period officially ends in the summer of 2020, however, six of the eight neurosurgery residents have already left for other hospitals because they are scheduled to finish their seven-year program after the accreditation period will end. Only two will remain at UNMH since they will be able to finish their program before summer 2020.

Eating With Wolves: Summer coffee review

For all your comida concerns, the Daily Lobo presents: Eating with Wolves. In this edition, Daily Lobo reporters Amanda Britt, Megan Holmen and Alyssa Martinez rated Albuquerque coffee shops on their summertime drinks. For anyone wanting to hold onto summer for just a little while longer, they tasted classic house coffees and iced summer beverages.  Each coffee shop was rated for their house coffee and a summer specialty. The reporters reviewed then based on multiple criteria: service, freshness, taste and ambiance.
