Charin Yuthasastrkosol can't be much more than five feet tall, or weigh more than 90 pounds - but this vibrant woman has a commanding presence when she is in a room. She strolls in dressed flamboyantly and the people around her erupt into a flurry of activity.

Blues is American music. But not in a ubiquitous, pop music way - blues and its close cousin roots rock have always been more organic.
The show began on the sidewalk near the corner of Central Avenue and Fifth Street, where six percussionists gathered to begin their vigorous and infectious performance.
OK, let's get this straight: Ozomatli is definitely not a local band. Even so, Ozomatli has already logged four performances since December 2001 in New Mexico - three in Santa Fe and one in Albuquerque - that might prompt some to mistakenly consider them local.
This year's Albuquerque Folk Festival featured one of the most unique dance performances I have ever seen.
Within the first five minutes, "The Bourne Identity" launches into over-the-top action, adrenaline and suspense that saturate the movie.
The members of Boss Ordinance do not make up your typical Albuquerque band.
The Festival Flamenco has returned to UNM, bringing with it some of the finest dancers the world has to offer.
If you want to see the hottest blues bands in north-central New Mexico, you don't need to be a barfly. You only need to go to Madrid on the Turquoise Trail a few miles south of Santa Fe.
