LETTER: Fraschilla deserves our respect, praise

Like most students, I was shocked to see that Lobo point guard Marlon Parmer had quit the men's basketball team. But I was even more shocked to see the way coach Fran Fraschilla was harshly criticized through the media.

COLUMN: U.S. needs to wake up to reality

The irony of today is as succulent as a cactus, whose spines sting us so hard even the next generation will feel it. LETTER: Bookstore back orders leave students in lurch

The UNM Bookstore is a monopoly. Here it is, the second week of school, and I'm still without my most important textbook. The teacher is assigning readings and we're having discussions, but I am silent through the class time. The book has been sold out for a week now, and the reorder shipment is "pending" the bookstore says. Pending what?
