UNLV defeated, part two

by Riley Bauling Daily Lobo There's nothing quite like 11 goals in two games to make you forget about an overtime loss. The UNM men's soccer team beat up on the University of Nevada-Las Vegas Runnin' Rebels 4-0 in Las Vegas on Saturday. The win came a week after the Lobos shellacked UNLV 7-2.

Goalkeeper makes grand exit

by Josh Shainin Daily Lobo Kristen Winters wanted to make sure her final game at the UNM Soccer Complex was a memorable one. The goalkeeper for the UNM women's soccer team had three saves, and UNM won its second-straight game Saturday night, beating the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs 1-0.

Ice Wolves take one, lose one at home

by Travis Weber Daily Lobo Texas Tech couldn't completely spoil the first home games of the season for the UNM Ice Wolves. The two teams split games, with Texas Tech winning the first one 12-11 on Friday night and UNM taking the second 6-3 on Saturday night.

Lobos pulverized in 6-game sweep

Staff Report The UNM volleyball team's road trip wasn't a journey through Candy Land. After falling to San Diego State University in three straight games on Friday, the Lobos got swept by the University of Nevada-Las Vegas on Saturday in Las Vegas. The losses put the Lobos' overall record at 12-9, as they fell to 4-7 in the Mountain West Conference.

Women's golf finishes 6th in tourney

Staff Report The UNM women's golf team climbed its way to a sixth-place finish at the Landfall Tradition this weekend. The Lobos were the two-time defending champions at the tournament, held in Wilmington, N.C. This time, it was Purdue who took home the trophy, defeating runner-up Wake Forest.

Ice Wolves glad to be home

The team lost two out of three games last week in Utah after starting the season 4-1 for the first time in its history. The Ice Wolves dropped their first game last Thursday night to Utah Valley State 7-4.

Runner speeds toward nationals

When Henry took over the job as head track and field and cross country coach at UNM in 2000, he wanted to build a successful program that featured the most talented local runners from New Mexico.

Staff Report The Colorado State Rams don't have the UNM volleyball team's number anymore. After 18-straight losses to the Rams dating back to 1994, UNM topped CSU in four games. The win improves the Lobos' record to 12-8 overall and 4-6 in the Mountain West Conference.

Freezing out competition

by Travis Weber Daily Lobo At 4-1, the UNM Ice Wolves are off to the best start in the club hockey team's history. The team started its season three weeks ago when it traveled to Austin, Texas, to partake in the annual Southern Methodist University's invitational tournament.
