The UNM baseball team had a rough weekend, getting swept in a three-game series against San Diego State in San Diego. With the losses, the Lobos fall to 14-21 overall and 3-6 in the Mountain West Conference. Meanwhile, the Aztecs improve to 21-14 on the season and 6-2 in MWC play.
It was a long-awaited victory for the UNM women's tennis team. The No. 69 Lobos earned their first win in conference play Saturday, beating Utah 5-2 in Salt Lake City.

A member of the Student Fee Review Board said its deliberations process is biased and in violation of University policy. The board makes recommendations for the allocation of about $8 million in mandatory student fees. Graduate student and board member Isaac Padilla said the board unfairly increased funding recommendations to athletics instead of to programs that serve all students.
After falling from a No. 1 national ranking, UNM golfer Charlie Beljan is setting the bar high for the rest of the season. Beljan now ranks No. 27, according to Golfstat standings released Friday. The number is down from No. 11 last week.

Publishers are being bought out by corporations, many of which are international, and it puts literary publishing in unfamiliar territory, Sam Tanenhaus said.
Most classes at UNM will use one kind of clicker starting in August. Clickers are devices students use to answer multiple-choice questions during class. The Bookstore sells six clickers for 19 classes, said Melanie Sparks, director of the Bookstore. That caused problems, said Gary Smith, director of the Office of Support for Effective Teaching.
