Suspect, victim identified in 7-11 murder case
July 19On Wednesday police arrested three men believed to be responsible for the murder of a 7-11 clerk, the Albuquerque Journ reported. Chad Mercer, 36, was fatally shot at the 7-11 on Central Avenue and University Boulevard early Tuesday morning.

Killer(s) on the loose after 7-11 clerk murdered near campus
July 17A store clerk was murdered Tuesday morning at the 7-11 on Central Avenue and University Drive, and the killer(s) remain at large. Police told KOB they have “strong leads” in the case, but APD has yet to release many other details of the incident, such as the victim’s identity or the manner of his or her death. Police arrived on the scene early Tuesday morning and did not disclose news of the incident until about 11 hours later, KOB reported. APD continues to search for suspects and the 7-11 convenience store and gas station, located across the street from campus, remain closed and barricaded.
