Hello UNM student body - it is another year of academics and with that comes the athletics. Congrats to the football team for going on the road and defeating the University of Nevada Las Vegas.

The 2002-03 UNM men's and women's basketball teams will give eager fans a preview of the upcoming season Saturday at The Pit in the annual Lobo Howl. The Howl will follow the Lobo volleyball team's match against Colorado State University at about 8 p.m. An autograph session with team members will be held, as well as the men's slam-dunk competition and 3-point shootout for the women.

The UNM Alumni Association is celebrating "Coming Home on Route 66" this week during UNM's 76th annual homecoming, which includes six days of activities and more than 35 separate events.
While homecoming is always about alumni, the Student Activities Office and ASUNM's Homecoming Committee have lined up a week full of events for students.
Since last Saturday's Lobo Howl, which marked the first day of practice for both the UNM men's and women's basketball teams, the howling has not stopped emanating from The Pit.
