Dear readers,
“Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.” -Hindu Prince Gautama Siddhartha, aka The Buddha, 563-483 B.C.E.
I don’t know what I hate worse, people with poor grammar or people with poor grammar. You run into them all the time, too. People who get the difference between “I” and “me” confused, say “good” when they mean “well,” who couldn’t identify a dangling modifier or a subjunctive clause, and who end sentences with prepositions because they have no class to speak of.

Readers,
Dear Dr. Peg,
Last semester more than 30 UNM students were arrested at Yale Park for voicing their support for the Occupy Albuquerque movement after school officials closed the protest site due to mounting safety concerns.
Dear Arizona government,
Dear Wooley,
Alcohol is one of the most popular drugs among college students, so it’s important to know how alcohol affects you and how it might affect your sexual decision making. According to Planned Parenthood’s website, “Nearly one-third of young adults have reported that they’ve ‘done more’ sexually under the influence of alcohol and drugs than they planned while sober.”
Now that the holidays are over — along with the flowery talk about peace on Earth and goodwill toward men — it’s important to remember the suffering in the world and how far the human race still has to go before we reach the ideals of respect and dignity for all living beings.
