Greenspan optimistic about economy

Striking a more upbeat note than he did two weeks ago, Federal Reserve Chairperson Alan Greenspan said Thursday that the economy was showing signs of improvement and declared himself "conflicted" on the need for any economic stimulus legislation from Congress.

Senate passes bill that would raise fees $6

The ASUNM Senate approved a bill that would raise the student government fee paid by undergraduate students from $14 to $20, and several other pieces of legislation during its first meeting of the semester Wednesday.
