Editor, Caleb Fort's article in Thursday's Daily Lobo about our student affiliate, Spiritual Youth for Reproductive Justice, and their work to assist low-income students with the cost of contraception is a little bit unclear. The article states that the discounted Ortho Tri-Cyclen costs $15 a month and the generic replacement costs $24.

Editor, Monday's letter by Larry H. Crum and Paul Chacho is further evidence of the persecution complex shared by many American conservatives. For people whose views have been enacted in official policy for six years with catastrophic results, it is distressing that they should complain so fervently about being underrepresented.

UNM Israel Alliance mars its cause by marking wall

Editor, On Thursday, a student organization identified as the Salam Coalition prepared a very edifying and informative event at Smith Plaza in which it constructed a miniature replica of the wall being erected between the West Bank and Israel. The foremost purpose of this project was to increase awareness and to educate UNM by bringing the outcomes of global incidents closer to our community in a diplomatic way.

Global warming a result of Earth's natural cycle

Editor, It seems to me that global warming is a government conspiracy for several plausible reasons. First of all, Earth, much like a living organism, has natural cycles that it must go through. Editor, In response to Geoffrey Miller's letter in Wednesday's Daily Lobo, let me reiterate that Steve Alford's salary at UNM is about $210,000. His entire compensation package comes from sources outside of the University. Even Paul Krebs, UNM's athletics director, has said that the amounts paid to college coaches are difficult to swallow.

Mock Israeli wall display fails to convey message

Editor, Did you see the wall the Israelis built outside the Humanities building Thursday? This is an outrage. How did they manage to sneak onto campus and erect this monument to hate undetected? OK, no foreign militants are sneaking around campus. The "wall" was actually placed by some campus group - I don't know which one, because the display does not identify it.

Editor, Student Aaron X. Lenard should read the Declaration of Independence.
