Senior scores 2 in game of a lifetime

by Riley Bauling Daily Lobo Last night's 5-4 shootout win against the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the second round of the NCAA Tournament could have been Jeff Rowland's last game as a senior on the UNM men's soccer team. He just wasn't feeling an ending like that.

Editor, The column in Monday's Daily Lobo by Colin Donoghue, "Mass media fails public," places accusations of censorship on the right which are not entirely accurate. Anyone who believes the left has no voice need only look at this very paper to realize that this is false.

Letter: Calling Bush a terrorist means we're all terrorists

Editor, I read a letter in Friday's Daily Lobo titled "U.S. terrorism not covered by mainstream media" that accused the armed forces of being "a terrorist organization commanded by the world's No. 1 terrorist, George Bush." I am often shocked by a person's willingness to shirk all responsibility and blame someone else for their actions.

Letter: Education system soured after morality removed

Editor, This is in response to the letter in Thursday's Daily Lobo written by Mark Justice Hinton, "Public education crucial to free circulation of ideas." Would you rather go to Smith's Food & Drug, Whole Foods Market, Albertson's, Raley's, or to the Motor Vehicle Department, the Social Security office, or Medicaid office? That would be the difference between government schools - the disaster they are now - and voucher schools.

by Riley Bauling Daily Lobo When opposing teams prevent senior Mark Walters from scoring for the UNM men's basketball team, the Lobos get along just fine. That's because Tony Danridge is waiting in the wings.
