Theater Review: Play crashes and stays burning

Entertainment should strive to provide what the audience wants, but not in the way they expect. Or if they can’t be bothered, just some hackneyed trash will do. The Aux Dog Theatre has selected “Boeing Boeing,” a 1960s French sex farce, as its oddly dated choice for its current production.

Bible filled with wisdom, but beware the poison

The Bible contains both poison crap and precious wisdom. Tragically, many people swallow both the poison crap and the precious wisdom and proclaim it all as the Word of God. Deuteronomy 7:2 says, “And when the Lord your God gives them over to you, and you defeat them, then you must utterly destroy them; you shall make no covenant with them and show no mercy to them.”

Anti-abortion rhetoric is counterproductive

I want empathy; at least some. In recent weeks, I’ve found myself getting more and more disappointed by the lack of empathy expressed by my fellow Albuquerque citizens with regard to the upcoming abortion ban vote. Although I can’t see myself ever getting an abortion past twenty weeks, or even before that point, I can still imagine how difficult a position some women find themselves where they may have to choose to undergo such a surgery.

Book review: Erotic book features happy endings

I’m not really one to read erotic books. I have nothing against them, and I know plenty of people who find excitement in reading tales of the kinky, but I’m just not one of them. When I first opened “The Big Book of Orgasms: 69 Sexy Stories,” I wasn’t quite sure what I was in for.
