Men's soccer tie feels like a loss

by Riley Bauling Daily Lobo Being the No. 2-ranked team is more of a curse than a blessing. The UNM men's soccer team found that out Sunday in a 1-1 double-overtime tie in Sacramento, Calif., against the Sacramento State Hornets. "It's hard because every team wants to beat us," senior left back Matt Wootton said.

Newcomers show off skills on court

As the new-look Lobos trampled New Mexico Highlands University 110-79 in an exhibition game on Saturday night, Prochaska and Box led the team in scoring with 15 points each.

Lobos finish third in home meet

She did just that, winning two of her three events Friday and Saturday at the Lobo Invitational. Unfortunately for the Lobos, the first half featured all the good, while the second half was nothing but bad and ugly. by Riley Bauling Daily Lobo There's nothing quite like 11 goals in two games to make you forget about an overtime loss. The UNM men's soccer team beat up on the University of Nevada-Las Vegas Runnin' Rebels 4-0 in Las Vegas on Saturday. The win came a week after the Lobos shellacked UNLV 7-2.

Goalkeeper makes grand exit

Staff Report The UNM volleyball team's road trip wasn't a journey through Candy Land. After falling to San Diego State University in three straight games on Friday, the Lobos got swept by the University of Nevada-Las Vegas on Saturday in Las Vegas. The losses put the Lobos' overall record at 12-9, as they fell to 4-7 in the Mountain West Conference.

Staff Report The UNM women's golf team climbed its way to a sixth-place finish at the Landfall Tradition this weekend. The Lobos were the two-time defending champions at the tournament, held in Wilmington, N.C. This time, it was Purdue who took home the trophy, defeating runner-up Wake Forest.

Ice Wolves glad to be home

by Travis Weber Daily Lobo The last three games of the UNM Ice Wolves' eight-game road trip didn't quite go the way they wanted. The team lost two out of three games last week in Utah after starting the season 4-1 for the first time in its history. The Ice Wolves dropped their first game last Thursday night to Utah Valley State 7-4.
