	The Board of Regents discuss details of UNM’s Vision 2020 plan at The Pit on Tuesday. The board expressed positive outlook about the plan, which they deemed to be “a starting point” for the University that “can certainly evolve.”

Frank, regents optimistic about Vision 2020 plan

One year after the creation of UNM’s Vision 2020, the regents continue to have positive outlooks on the plan. In a special Board of Regents meeting held Friday at The Pit, the board expressed optimism about the plan. UNM President Robert Frank said the plan is improving little by little over the years.

Heroes like Batman and Wolverine have found a new home in Albuquerque, thanks to brothers Matt and Greg Trujillo. On June 14 the brothers opened a new comic book store, Age of Comics, on Osuna near San Mateo.

UNM to assist APD in training, career development

A recent move by UNM aims to improve police officer training in the city. According to a press release from the City of Albuquerque, UNM has signed a memorandum of agreement with the Albuquerque Police Department and is now conducting talks with the police department “in an effort to bolster training and career development for APD’s finest.”

UNM, NMSU combine rural health care efforts

Lobos and Aggies unite to improve public health facilities in New Mexico rural areas. UNM’s Institute for Community Health Services is collaborating with New Mexico State University’s Cooperative Extension Service (CES) to improve public health services around the state with the help of students in the universities’ public health master’s program.
